Assigning a profile

Profiles are assigned from the Dashboard. Each profile card shows the archetype’s name, a one-line description, and a behavior radar summarizing its tendencies (looseness, aggression and related dimensions).

Element	Brief
GTO (default)	The neutral assumption: the villain plays equilibrium. No adjustment is applied.
Archetype cards	Ready-made player types — from tight-passive up to maniac — ordered by looseness and aggression so similar types sit together.
Behavior radar	A quick visual of how the archetype deviates: how wide it plays, how often it barrels, how sticky it calls.

Note

Profile names describe behavior, not stakes. A “calling station” at NL10 and one at NL200 share the same core leak — they call too much — and the same adjustment logic applies to both.

What a profile changes

Under the hood a profile is an action model: for each street and situation it describes how that player type responds — what they continue with versus a bet, what they raise, how position and stack depth modify it. During a hand, the villain’s assumed range is re-weighted action by action according to this model instead of the equilibrium assumption.

The engines consume that adjusted range differently:

GTO	None — pure equilibrium ignores profiles by design.
GTO+	A measured shift of the baseline strategy toward the profitable direction. See GTO & GTO+.
Exploit	Full best-response against the profiled range. See Exploit.

Picking the right archetype

A quick field guide for the common types:

Archetype	Telltale signs
Tight-passive / Nit	Folds too much, raises only with the top of the range. Attack their capped ranges; fold to their aggression.
Calling station	Calls down with anything reasonable. Value bet thinner, stop bluffing.
TAG reg	Solid and aggressive. Stay close to baseline; small adjustments only.
LAG reg	Wide and aggressive but competent. Widen your defends; pick spots carefully.
Maniac	Raises relentlessly regardless of holdings. Let them bluff; call down wider.
Recreational	Erratic, mixes passive and wild lines. Prefer the measured GTO+ shift over hard exploits.

Tip

When in doubt, leave the profile on GTO. A wrong read fed into an exploit engine costs more than no read at all — upgrade to an archetype only once you have seen enough hands to be confident.
